We are surrounded by woodland and fields and there are several paths through the woods for walking. Canoes are available for rent on the Dordogne river at Vayrac, a 15 minute drive away. For those interested in pretty villages there are many in the area, such as
Collonges la Rouge, Turenne, Curemonte, Carennac and Rocamadour, to name just a few.
Brive la Gaillarde is 25 mins drive and has a large Saturday market as well as larger shops.
Nearby, Les Quatre Routes du Lot provides a supermarket, pharmacy, bakery, hairdresser, a.t.m, and restaurant. Martel, another lovely village, is a 10 min drive and has several restaurants and cafes, and a Saturday local farmers’ market.
